Continuous Improvement Lead
£50,000 to £54,000 plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of continuous improvements, to deliver agreed business benefits by leading improvement activities, to develop and coach employees to deliver improvements to support business objectives (SQCDP & Strategic themes) and guide the business in their application of continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
Production System – Lead the deployment of the Group Production System. Coach the business to ensure they understand which minimum standards affect the performance metrics (SQCDP) and how to use them in an integrated way. Ensure the businesses understands their production system maturity as well as the route to improve. Accountable for the coaching and maintaining the Improvement owned minimum standards.
Business Plan Deployment (BPD) – Lead development and execution of the Improvement Programme. Focused on performance improvement (SQCDP) and strategy (BPD) delivery. Deployment of the 'ONE' Plan in the business- driving the improvement activities. Lead and manage business improvement strategic reviews and business governance sessions. Use improvement and problem-solving tools and techniques to deliver our critical projects and required levels of business performance.
Lean - Lead the business journey to being a Lean Organisation. Actively demonstrate the Lean Leadership behaviours, coach others, support the lean strategy for their business and use Lean / Sigma tools to reduce waste and non-value-added activity.
Governance of the weekly OnePlan (Pipelines) program, drive execution and set standards for improvement activities across the Witton Facilities. Track project status, support project owners and validate project costing and savings using project planning and management techniques. Lead your own OnePlan improvements projects across Material/COGS, Right First Time, Yield, Rework Reduction, Yield, Variable Cost and Fixed Cost.
Governance of the 6S program, develop and maintain the 6S program to the company Standard, ensuring all site facilities have a plan to incrementally improve the forgings 6S standard. Ensure 6S area owners are trained to the 6S standards and 6S audits are conducted to the pre-determined schedules. Review, coach, support and set expectations for area improvement action plans. Lead by example by taking ownership for a 6S area creating a light house example. Create and co-ordinate a Plant Level Improvement action plan to uplift areas to a standard ready for the Quarterly Management Operation Review (MOR) 6S video. Manage long-term contractors’ cleaners and painters to improve facility standards.
Lead the UK digitalisation program and the implementation at the company Facility, including the implementation of Over Equipment effectiveness (OEE), Digital auditing for 6S, Safety & Quality, Online Digital Training, Digital visual management for SQCDP.
Facilitate - Kaizen events, Problem Resolution, Production System and Improvement activities.
Coach – Project sponsors, Green belts, Yellow belts, Lean projects and business leadership.
Process Deployment - Ensuring the business is compliant to the defined Improvement processes, feeding into process councils and deploying and communicating any process changes back into the business.
Key Experiences and any Qualifications
Lean Sigma Black Belt accredited (or working towards accreditation)
Educated to minimum degree level – Or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated track record of successful delivery of improvement projects / programmes linked to Customer Satisfaction and Profit & Loss.
Influencing team members, managers and senior managers to improve process thinking and drive improvements

Lean improvement methods & tools
Experience in a fast paced, results driven manufacturing environment (aerospace or automotive preferable).
