Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with the plant's overall goals. Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Operational Excellence: Drive improvements in overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through effective maintenance strategies, including PPM and RCM. Project Management: Oversee capital projects up to £1m, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Financial Stewardship: Manage department budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation. Safety and Compliance: Prioritize safety and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent. NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification. Proven track record in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and people management skills. Experience in managing large-scale capital projects. Deep understanding of maintenance strategies and reliability techniques. Strong financial acumen and cost management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
