Forge Production Operative
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary: £55,000 – £59,000 (Inclusive of shift allowance/premiums) + Overtime
Shift Pattern: 4-on / 4-off Continental (12-hour Days)

The Role
We are seeking a skilled Forge Production Operative to join a world-class, high-volume manufacturing operation based in Birmingham.
Working on a full continental shift pattern, you will play a vital role in converting metal ingots into precision-forged components using a powerful Davy press alongside state-of-the-art heavy engineering equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Machinery Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy forge presses and associated machinery. Material Handling: Drive Forklift Trucks (FLT) and operate overhead cranes to move heavy hot and cold metal components across the shop floor. Production & Quality: Load/unload furnaces and presses, follow production schedules, and carry out rigorous quality checks. Safety & Standards: Maintain high housekeeping standards and strictly adhere to site health & safety protocols.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Background in a forge, heavy manufacturing, steel handling, metal processing, or CNC machining environments. Equipment Handling: Overhead crane experience and FLT licence/experience are preferred (FLT training can be provided for the right candidate). Attributes: Comfortable with physically demanding work, safety-conscious, reliable, and a strong team player.
