Maintenance Engineer | 8-Hour Shifts (No More 12s!)

Location: Runcorn, Cheshire; commutable from Warrington, Manchester, Northwich and Ellesmere Port.
Salary: £48,000 + Overtime + Premium Benefits
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday 3-shift rotation.

The Role

Hands-on maintenance of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, combining rapid breakdown response with asset reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• PPM on automated picking and sorting machinery.
• Reactive fault finding and downtime reduction.
• Installation and commissioning of Supply Chain projects.
• Contractor management and H&S compliance.
• Continuous improvement, bad-actor analysis and OEE.

Technical Requirements

• Level 3 Electrical Engineering essential.
• Distribution, FMCG or Manufacturing experience.
• PLC conveyors and pneumatic diagnostics.
• Dematic, TGW, Knapp or Vanderlande desirable.

Shift Details (3-Week Rotation)

• Week 1: Mon–Fri 06:00–14:15
• Week 2: Mon–Fri 14:00–22:15
• Week 3: Mon–Fri 22:00–06:15

Requirement: 1 in 3 Sundays, 06:00–14:00.
