About the Role

Plant Machine Operator (2 Positions)

Location: Lincoln, LN6

Salary: £45,000+ per year, plus bonuses, overtime, and enhanced international rates.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (Includes 1-hour break. Flexibility required for occasional breakdowns).

 

We are looking for two reliable and experienced Plant Machinery Operators to join our growing team, based in Lincoln. This is an exciting opportunity to work on specialist projects across the UK and internationally, delivering high-quality surface preparation, airfield grooving, motorway grinding, and associated works.

Key Responsibilities

Operate specialist plant and machinery safely and efficiently. Carry out surface preparation, airfield grooving, motorway grinding, and associated works. Work in accordance with health and safety legislation, company procedures, and client requirements. Support the team in delivering projects to a high standard and within deadlines. Maintain equipment and report any defects or maintenance requirements. Travel extensively to work throughout the UK and overseas as required.

Working Pattern

Flexible approach to working hours. Willingness to work dayshifts, nightshifts, weekends, and overtime. Regular overnight stays across the UK. International travel when required.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in road construction, highways maintenance, civil engineering, or a similar environment. Experience operating construction plant and machinery. Good understanding of health and safety procedures. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Reliable, hardworking, and committed. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications

CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent Plant Operator certification. NRSWA (Street Works) qualification. CSCS card. Mechanical knowledge or maintenance experience.

Training:

This is a new specialist role within our business. While previous experience operating construction plant and working within highways, civil engineering, or similar environments is essential, full training, guidance, and ongoing support will be provided to enable you to develop the specialist skills and knowledge required.
