About the Role

Job Title: Senior Construction Scheduler – Data Centers / Mission Critical

Location: United States (Project Site-Based / Hybrid / Regional Hubs e.g., Ashburn VA, Dallas TX, Phoenix AZ)

Sector: Real Estate & Infrastructure / Data Centers & Mission Critical

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Scheduler to support the delivery of large-scale, hyperscale data center construction programs across the United States for a leading global project management and cost consultancy.

In this client-facing project controls role, you will lead the development, maintenance, and analysis of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) across all phases of the project lifecycle—from pre-construction and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule Development & Baseline Management: Create, maintain, and update detailed project baseline schedules using Primavera P6 for multi-project/hyperscale data center environments.

Master Schedule Integration: Consolidate schedule inputs across multidisciplinary teams, including design, engineering, procurement, long-lead equipment manufacturing, logistics, and site trade contractors into a master program schedule.

Progress Tracking & Analysis: Monitor schedule performance against baselines, conduct critical path analysis, and issue 1/3/6-month look-ahead schedules to highlight bottlenecks, logic gaps, or potential delays.

Risk Assessment & Recovery Strategies: Perform schedule risk assessments, scenario modeling ("what-if" impact analysis), and variance analysis for scope changes or design revisions; propose proactive recovery strategies to maintain target milestones.

Commissioning & Systems Dependency: Track key milestones tied to MEP, CSA, utility interconnections, and system commissioning sequences.

Client & Executive Reporting: Prepare status reports, schedule narratives, and dashboard visualizations (e.g., Tableau or Power BI integration) for executive stakeholders and client leadership.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Software Expertise: Expert-level mastery of Primavera P6 (P6 Enterprise / Professional) is mandatory. Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or MS Project is a plus.

Data Center / Mission Critical Experience: 5+ years of direct experience scheduling complex mission-critical facilities (hyperscale data centers, semiconductor fabs, or heavy MEP-driven capital projects).

Consultancy or GC Background: Strong experience delivering project controls inside a major construction management consultancy or leading mission-critical general contractor.

Project Controls Discipline: Strong grasp of baseline control, variance analysis, change management, and AACE/PSP scheduling best practices.

Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science, or equivalent practical experience. AACE PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification is beneficial.
