Assembly Maintenance Technician (Electrical) – c.£50k OTE

A leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer in Wolverhampton is hiring an electrically biased Assembly Maintenance Technician. You'll give breakdown support and preventative maintenance, and drive improvements, on highly automated robotic welding and assembly lines.

Salary & Shifts

• c.£43k basic salary
• 15% shift allowance, taking total pay to approx. £50k
• 36.5-hour week on a 3-shift rotation

What You'll Do

• Respond quickly to equipment stoppages, then fault-find and repair them
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on automated assembly equipment
• Renovate and maintain robotic welding and assembly cells
• Deliver kaizen and continuous improvement projects to raise equipment OEE
• Record PMs and downtime in the maintenance system
• Coach and support other team members
• Work safely at all times

What You'll Need

• Time-served in an electro-technical role, through a recognised electrical or maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent automotive experience
• C&G 2330/2360 Level 3, EAL or an equivalent electrical qualification
• Knowledge of robotic welding: ABB, Motoman or Fanuc
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of MIG and spot welding processes
• Good mechanical aptitude, including welding, fabrication and fitting
• A structured approach to problem-solving, and IT literacy (MS Office, AutoCAD)

Desirable: 17th/18th Edition, an electrical HNC, automotive maintenance systems experience.
