We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Technician to join our team at our East Kilbride Depot. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead a small multi-skilled team of technicians, playing a critical role in planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activities for our automated systems and facilities. This role offers excellent opportunities for technical and leadership development, including potential support for the national team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating a team of maintenance technicians.
- Scheduling maintenance for automation and facility systems.
- Supervising external contractors on-site.
- Conducting security audits.
- Resource planning and allocation.
- Preparing and delivering daily, weekly, and monthly reports to key stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum Level 3 engineering qualification (electrical or mechanical).
- Proven experience in managing a maintenance department or team.
- Demonstrable experience working with automated conveyor systems.
- Strong fault-finding skills within electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Desirable qualifications: IOSH or NEBOSH.

39.17 hours per week - Monday to Friday 0800 - 1600 1 in 3 Sundays 0700 – 1200
