Cruise Control Recruitment have been retained by a market leading metal components manufacturer who are seeking a CNC Machinist to machine supplied materials to customer specifications.
What You'll Be Doing:
The purpose of the role is to machine supplied material to customer specifications by using designated plant/equipment and following approved processing procedures.
Set and operate designated plant/equipment to machine and cut supplied material to the standard stated on the processing documentation. Methods could include milling, planning, lathe turning, bar peeling and saws.
Accurately observe and record material identity references.
Inspect machined products using approved measuring systems and recording the results on data capture sheets and any other documentation as required.
Transport and handle material using the forklift trucks, cranes and slinging systems.
Adhere to all procedures and controls relating to the use of Tungsten tooling.
Follow procedures relating to the control of solid scrap and swarf.
Who We're Looking For:
Experience and Qualification/Education Requirements
- High safety focus
- To work in a team environment towards the plant and Company’s objectives, maintaining a clean and safe workplace
- To positively contribute and support the Lean Assessment process and continuous improvement processes to maintain and improve 6s standards and auditing systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Understanding of best practice machining techniques and have the ability to develop successful internal customer/supplier relationships.
- Demonstrable machining experience – CNC skills advantageous.
- Previous experience or familiarisation of working towards Quality Control Procedures and Quality Assurance Standards would be advantageous.
- Ability to drive a Forklift Truck and operate crane/lifting equipment (full training will be given).
