About the Role

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £51,000 to £54,000 + Company Bonuses + Premium Overtime Rates + Specialist Training + OEM Courses
On-Target Earnings: £65,000 + Quarterly Bonus
Shifts: 4 on 4 off Rotation (Days and Nights)

 

Due to expansion, we're seeking Maintenance Engineers to join a leading metal manufacturing business. Working as part of the Engineering Maintenance Department, this exciting role offers a competitive salary, a full continental shift pattern with a shift premium, and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance across all plant equipment and facilities. Perform routine maintenance and support for various equipment, including arc melting furnaces, forging, preheating furnaces, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, vacuum systems, cutting & milling processes. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, right-first-time approach, and preventative maintenance.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

Innovative and dynamic team player. Qualified experience in metals or heavy industrial environment. Minimum ONC or NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering. Practical hands-on background in maintenance engineering. Strong problem-solving skills. Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

 

Desirable:

Experience in fitting, machining, and welding. Detailed expertise in hydraulics/pneumatics/vacuum systems.
