About the Role
Maintenance Technician
Location: DeSoto, TX
Hours: 1st Shift (7 AM - 3 PM)
Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 per year plus benefits
The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of electrical and mechanical skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related issues.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment, including mechanical and electrical components. Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, including PLC fault-finding. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical problems. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, including wiring, motors, and sensors. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Hands-on Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and systems.
- PLC Expertise: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) that control our production lines.
- Mechanical and Electrical Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team of two maintenance technicians.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with management and other team members to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient operations.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
Technical degree or equivalent experience in maintenance or a related field. Strong electrical and mechanical skills. Experience with PLC fault-finding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Solid mechanical and electrical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
