Location: Birmingham
Salary & Compensation:
- £55,000 to £58,000 per annum
- £4,500 Car Allowance

Are you a target-driven Production Manager ready to take full ownership of operational performance within a critical manufacturing environment?
We are seeking a high-calibre Operations Production Manager to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our plant. This is a challenging, rewarding role where your leadership directly impacts Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

The Role: Accountability and Leadership
Reporting directly to the Business Unit Manager, you will be accountable for the full spectrum of departmental performance, leading a dedicated team of 20 professionals, including Team Leaders and Senior Lab Technicians.
Key Performance & Accountability Areas:
- Financial & Output: Own and manage the daily P&L, standard hours value, budgets, throughput rates, and recovery planning.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop and execute improvement plans focused on Zero Harm, Zero Defects, Productivity, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Team Leadership: Inspire, motivate, and develop your team through effective guidance, training, and strategic delegation.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate on business objectives and translate strategic goals into daily, measurable actions.
- Safety & Compliance: Drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance and achieving Zero Harm targets.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Production/Operations Manager working to strict metrics and KPIs.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
- Deep practical knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and 6S methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of production metrics, safety standards, and quality management.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Desirable: IOSH qualification or equivalent (Full training can be provided on-site).
