About the Role
Quality Manager | Lead Excellence in West Michigan
$120,000 - $140,000/yr + Bonus | Relocation Assistance Available
Cruise Control Recruitment is partnering with a market-leading manufacturer to find a strategic and hands-on Quality Manager. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the entire quality control function and Quality Management System (QMS).
We need a proven leader who can drive strategic quality objectives and ensure the company's QMS upholds the highest standards.
The Non-Negotiable Requirement - You must possess stringent, verifiable experience with either IATF or AS9100 (Aerospace) standards.
Key Leadership & Strategy Functions
As the Quality Manager, you will be the definitive QMS leader and the primary Quality contact for the business.
QMS Champion: Act as the company's Management Representative, fully responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the QMS (ISO, Aerospace, and customer requirements). Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe, environmentally compliant workplace, adhering to all regulatory and EH&S policies. Assist with and assure adherence to all 6-S initiatives across the facility. Continuous Improvement: Champion quality-related continuous improvement initiatives, including leading the Process Change Request (PCR) and Fixed Processes. Audit & Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for the quality system framework. Oversee all internal audit activities and act as the key contact for external auditors, customers, and regulatory agencies. Problem Resolution: Lead, manage, and facilitate robust Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations and develop new approaches to solve quality problems. Customer Focus: Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service; investigate and correct customer quality complaints. Team Development: Coach, mentor, and provide leadership to the quality team and to all levels of the organization regarding QMS requirements.
Required Qualifications
Education: Four-year degree in a related technical field (e.g., Engineering, Material Science, Quality Management). Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Quality Management experience, preferably in a highly regulated industry such as: Investment Casting Aerospace Automotive QMS Expertise: Mandatory experience with either IATF or AS9100. Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills; strong technical writing skills; self-motivated and achievement-oriented. Bonus: Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.

Location: West Michigan (Ask about our relocation assistance package!) Compliance: Must demonstrate proof of US citizenship or permanent resident status to comply with export and import laws. Work Environment: Combination of standard office work and occasional work in a manufacturing/foundry environment (moderate noise, exposure to mechanical parts/heat).
