The Role
We are looking for a versatile Technical Project Engineer to serve as the primary site authority for our specialised product portfolio. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering design and shop-floor execution, ensuring every component leaving the facility meets rigorous performance and safety standards.
You will act as the technical "anchor" for the site, overseeing the integrity of manufacturing processes while driving continuous improvement and standardising best practices across the facility.
Do you have experience in working in a similar position such as Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Quality Engineer or Production Engineer within a metals or aerospace manufacturing business?
Key Responsibilities
Technical Stewardship: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all site-manufactured products, ensuring technical specifications are strictly adhered to. Process Architecture: Design, monitor, and refine production routings to guarantee full compliance with exacting client standards and internal quality benchmarks. Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into product or method non-conformities, implementing robust corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Feasibility & Capability: Review incoming client specifications and complex technical drawings to validate manufacturing viability and resource capability.
Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external engineering departments regarding process modifications, approvals, and joint improvement initiatives.
System Advocacy: Champion the Business Management System (BMS), ensuring operational teams are aligned with evolving quality and safety protocols.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a proactive professional with a background in Specialist Metallurgy, Aerospace, or Advanced Component Manufacturing.
Academic Foundation: Degree-level qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent experience). Technical Expertise: Proven experience in a similar capacity (Process, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering) within a heavy-regulated or metals-based industry. Project Management: A track record of steering short-to-medium-term technical projects from conception to successful delivery. Quality Mindset: Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and international quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO9001). Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor to boardroom.
Why Join Us?
Stability & Growth: Join a global engineering partner with a clear path for professional development.
Comprehensive Package: Competitive base salary plus a structured bonus scheme and industry-leading benefits.
Dynamic Environment: Work in a fast-paced facility where your technical decisions directly impact the success of the business.
