About the Role
Operations Manager | Industrial Automation & Robotics
Location: Marietta, GA (50% Regional Travel)
Compensation: $135,000 – $140,000 + Comprehensive Benefits
Shift: Monday – Friday
The Opportunity
Join a global leader in the automation sector during a period of unprecedented growth. As an Operations Manager, you will not just manage facilities—you will be the strategic link between our cutting-edge automation technology and our most valued client accounts. This is a high-visibility role based out of our Marietta office, perfect for a technical leader ready to transition into multi-site regional management.
The Role
You will oversee the operational excellence of automated warehouses and electro-mechanical manufacturing sites. This role is a 50/50 split between Technical Maintenance Leadership and Strategic Account Management.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Site Leadership: Oversee site management teams across the region, ensuring safety, efficiency, and 99.9% uptime of automated systems.
Account Management: Act as the primary point of contact for "household name" clients, conducting quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and ensuring all SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met.
Technical Oversight: Provide high-level guidance on the maintenance of PLC-controlled systems, robotics, AS/RS, and high-speed sortation conveyors.
Strategic Planning: Manage P&L responsibilities for your region, optimizing labor costs and capital expenditure (CapEx) for equipment upgrades.
Continuous Improvement: Deploy Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to reduce "Mean Time to Repair" (MTTR) and enhance system reliability.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a "Technical Diplomat"—someone who understands the "how" of the machinery and the "why" of the business.
Experience: 7+ years in Operations or Maintenance Management within an automated environment (Distribution Centers, E-commerce hubs, or high-tech manufacturing).
Education: Strong engineering background (BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
Expertise: Deep familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, conveyors, and automated material handling equipment.
Travel: Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% to partner sites.
Soft Skills: Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead diverse teams across multiple locations.
You’ll Love This If...
You enjoy the automation/robotics sector.
You excel at managing people across multiple sites.
You have a strong Engineering background.
It Might Be Challenging If...
You prefer being hands-on with tools every day.
You prefer a static 9-to-5 without travel.
You don't enjoy the "sales" or "account" side of business.
Why Join Us?
Stability: Work for a "household name" with a massive global footprint.
Culture: A collaborative, engineering-first environment that values long-term career development.
Benefits: Industry-leading 401(k), premium healthcare, and performance-based incentives.
