Job Description

Purpose: To perform and oversee critical metallurgical and mechanical testing to ensure all products meet stringent customer and industry specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Testing: Perform tensile, impact (Izod), bend, fracture toughness, hardness, and hydrogen analysis.
• Compliance: Maintain ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap standards through meticulous audit preparation and equipment verification.
• Quality Control: Conduct routine quality checks on lab equipment and testing outputs to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Documentation: Record and report data in accordance with aerospace industry specifications.


Requirements:

• Proven experience in a metallurgical testing laboratory.
• Practical knowledge of Nadcap and ISO 17025.
• A degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science is preferred (mandatory for the £43k salary bracket).
