Systems Start-up Engineer | Global Automation Leader

Location: UK Wide & International Travel

Salary: Competitive (DOE) + Premium Benefits

Type: Full-Time, 40 Hours (08:00 – 17:00)

The Opportunity

Are you a technical problem-solver who thrives on seeing complex systems come to life? Due to rapid global expansion, we are seeking several Systems Start-up Engineers to join a world-leading automation manufacturer.

This isn't a "desk-only" job. You will be the bridge between code and reality, providing hands-on technical leadership to ensure large-scale automated warehouses are commissioned successfully on-site across the UK and beyond.

Your Impact

As a Systems Start-up Engineer, you will own the final stages of the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

Commissioning: Bringing large-scale, complex automated warehouse systems online. Software Engineering: Customising applications, network configurations, and OS settings to meet site-specific needs. Innovation: Creating new software applications and contributing to high-level strategic projects. Quality Assurance: Preparing and executing rigorous factory tests and managing site documentation. Knowledge Sharing: Acting as a subject matter expert by training internal teams and customers both in-house and on-site.

Your Toolkit

We are looking for candidates with a solid IT foundation and the "on-site" grit to handle real-world deployments.

Education: A degree or technical qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. OS Mastery: Strong experience working within Linux environments. Coding Skills: Proficiency in Java, Python, or C/C++ and a solid understanding of SQL/PLSQL. Hardware Savvy: A fundamental understanding of hardware components and networking. Communication: The ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and confidently.

Why Join Us?

Beyond the chance to work with cutting-edge robotics and automation, we offer:

Career Velocity: A clear path for progression within a growing global leader. Financial Security: An excellent company pension scheme. Health & Wellbeing: Comprehensive private healthcare. Variety: Exposure to a diverse range of technologies and international projects.

Demand for these roles is high, and we are looking to move quickly with interviews. If you are ready to take your technical skills global, apply today.

Your application will be managed by Cruise Control Recruitment, the UK's #1 choice for Automation & Robotics recruitment.
