We're seeking a skilled Operations Production Manager to play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our plant. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, this role has responsibility for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Throughput, Cost and people in the department. The role takes direction from the Business Unit Manager on plant priorities to meet the target to the department business needs. In addition, the role will be responsible for the identification of improvements plans, including Zero Harm, Zero Defects, Productivity and OEE.

Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate a team of 20 dedicated professionals including team leaders and senior lab technicians, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Business Unit Manager to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with business objectives.

Financial Performance: Accountable for key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize resource allocation and cost control.

Project Management: Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to drive innovation and process improvements.

 

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a target-driven, results-orientated Production Manager Someone that is used to working to metrics, KPI’s and have people management experience. Proven track record in a manufacturing environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, and productivity metrics. Experience in working with Lean, Six Sigma, and 6S methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. IOSH qualification or equivalent, although not essential as full training will be obtained on site.

We are looking for someone that can own and be accountable for their metrics, KPI’s, daily P&L, standard hours value, daily budgets, throughput rates and recovery planning
