Maintenance Engineer

Corby, North Northamptonshire

Continental style shift pattern (42 hours per week pro - rata, working 4 on, 4 off, rotating days and nights) or static nights 4 on 4 off.

Salary range is £45,000 plus shift allowance.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our team and support our operations in Corby.

 

Successful candidates must have at least a Level 3 mechanical engineering qualification plus an electrical competency certificate.

 

About the Role:

Join our team as an Automated Maintenance Engineer and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art facility. You'll be responsible for conducting both pre-planned and reactive maintenance on automated equipment in a challenging cold environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventative Maintenance: Maintain a high standard of preventative maintenance (PPM) for all allocated equipment.

Equipment Repair: Service and repair automated equipment and general estate maintenance, ensuring optimal performance.

Compliance: Ensure all equipment is maintained in accordance with supplier guidelines, including conveyors, cranes, cooling systems, and oxygen reduction.

About You:

Experience: A time-served, experienced engineer with a proven track record in multi-skilled maintenance.

Qualifications: Hold a recognised Mechanical Level 3 qualification plus an electrical competency certificate.

Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of advanced technology and its practical application.

Automated Systems: Experience working with automated stacker cranes and roller conveyor systems is preferred.

Problem-Solving: Be proactive and independent, capable of making informed decisions while also understanding when to escalate or communicate with key stakeholders.

Communication: Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and vendors.

Physical Requirements: Be comfortable working at heights up to 42 meters.
