Our client, a global leader in precision cast components for the demanding aerospace industry, is actively seeking a Ceramics Specialist to join their cutting-edge team in Groton, CT. This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to be at the heart of developing and perfecting ceramic materials for advanced investment casting applications.
The Process Engineer will be involved in optimizing and improving the company's manufacturing processes, particularly in the area of investment casting. This role requires a strong understanding of process engineering principles, including troubleshooting, process improvement, and new product/process development.
Your Impact:
In this pivotal, hands-on role, you'll drive excellence by:
Designing, analyzing, and refining ceramic molds and cores to meet stringent aerospace specifications. Collaborating cross-functionally, providing essential technical guidance on ceramic materials, design for manufacturability, and process optimization. Conducting rigorous testing and evaluation of ceramic materials to ensure peak performance and quality standards. Leading the charge on new technology adoption, implementing innovative materials and processes to fuel continuous improvement in investment casting.
What We're Looking For:
You're an experienced Industrial Engineer or similar, with a strong background in manufacturing and casting processes. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field. Your keen eye for detail and robust analytical skills set you apart.
