About the Role
Process Engineer - Manufacturing
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (some flexibility required)
Are you a highly skilled Process Engineer with a strong background in metal manufacturing? Cruise Control Recruitment's Manufacturing Division is seeking a dedicated professional to join a leading manufacturing company in Birmingham.
In this pivotal role, you'll be the technical lead for all products manufactured on-site, ensuring exceptional quality and driving continuous improvement. You'll play a crucial part in the day-to-day technical operations of the facility, impacting product conformity and process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the technical lead for all products manufactured at the site.
- Accountable for setting up and improving process routes to ensure products meet all customer requirements.
- Investigate and resolve concerns related to method and product non-conformity, implementing process changes based on findings.
- Review new customer specifications to confirm manufacturing capabilities.
- Promote and continuously improve the Business Management System throughout operations.
- Liaise with customer technical departments on process changes/improvements, securing necessary approvals.
- Proactively seek out 'Best Practice' for manufacturing processes and systems, both internally and externally.
- Participate in customer product improvement events.
What We're Looking For:
Education: Minimum degree level.
Experience:
- 5 – 7 years of manufacturing and technical experience within the metals manufacturing industry.
- 5 years of experience successfully leading short to medium-term projects.
- Experience in Aerospace and/or metal manufacturing is a distinct advantage.
Skills:
- Thorough understanding of product process routes and customer-driven requirements.
- Strong grasp of external and internal customer quality standards.
- Good understanding of lean manufacturing principles.

- A dynamic individual with excellent organisational and influential interpersonal skills.
- Possesses a 'can-do' attitude and a drive to move the business forward.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels.
