Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

Are you an experienced Welding Engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Join our client's team in Groton, Connecticut, a leader in supplying solutions for extremely complex castings to top companies worldwide.

In this pivotal role, you'll be the Welding Process Owner, overseeing welding techniques, procedures, and the application of welding equipment. You'll be instrumental in the repair of Co & Ni-based super alloy and stainless-steel castings, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

What You'll Do:

Provide Expert Guidance: Support, advise, and coordinate technical personnel on welding procedures, restrictions, and standards. Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with established guidelines, including testing welds against national code requirements and certifying welding personnel.

Drive Innovation: Evaluate new developments in the welding field and identify potential applications to solve current welding challenges or enhance production processes.

Develop & Implement Procedures: Establish robust welding procedures for production and welding teams, covering specifications, material processes, customer setup requirements, and pre/post-heating for critical joints, unusual fabrication methods, and complex heat-treating.

Collaborate on Testing: Assist engineering teams in testing and evaluating welding equipment, methods, shield gases, NDT yields, and alloys.

Document & Train: Record inspections, document results, and process findings for engineering and manufacturing. Develop and implement comprehensive training programs, maintain training records, and manage the skills matrix for welders.
